Riot

At about 5pm today Kaori's husband called her and said there was "communal violence" at Kaksshdkhieishs Station (or something like that). It's not too far from here, but far enough that it would take a huge riot to reach us.
We were advised to either go home early or stay late at the office as they may have been targeting foreigners. So we called a hotel close to the location and asked them what was happening. They said, "oh, that's been cleared up". For all we know it could have occurred this morning or yesterday, slow news around here. Anyway, it looks all clear now; we'll see when I walk home, but I may go out to dinner with the boss anyhow.
