OK, so the bombs in Bangalore were small compared with the ones in Ahmadabad, but they think there's a connection. There's a big difference between what the police say and how the news reports such events. In Bangalore the police chief said the bombings were done by "miscreants" and life should go on as usual; the news is saying stuff like, 'bombs rock the city' (when they were small IEDs) and that terror has stricken, and stay indoors. I suppose it sells though.
The day of the bombs we had our Bangaluru Speaks dialogue forum. We were going to cancel it, but decided to have it anyway. A smaller turn out than originally expected; but good for the circumstances. It went fairly well. We have them now every 4th friday.
On saturday and sunday it was difficult to find an auto that will go downtown. Perhaps cuz of the bombs; perhaps the rain didn't help. Raining much more now. Every day at least some. Buckets came down on sunday. Drainage is a problem, but it was in Denver as well.
We want to go see Dark Knight, but tickets are hard to reserve...yes, reserve. There's no open seating. You buy a ticket much like a ball game; assigned seatings. And you have to reserve them online. I haven't been yet, mostly b/c of that. And I don't know where the theaters are....

Maybe you should try and see "Mamma Mia" instead. I hear it is fabulous!
I hope I get to see you sometime soon. Take good care of yourself over there.
