The end of the 4th month was not a very good time for me or the organization. Four days later the situation turned for the better. Rachel is staying! The glue of the organization made arrangements to stay on for another year. This is great for many reasons, but the two most visible: Her knowledge and experience of/with clients will not have to be transfered to a grumpy, arrogant American; and now we have 3 people on the "get $$" team instead of two. Big boost. So that's good. A HUGE relief for me. Not to say that everything is great, but it's a good step.
It was a busy week, we think we landed a gig in KL (Kuala Lumpur....no, it's not run by Koalas), and booked a deal with a large software consulting company. So it's looking better on the business front.
Weather is nice. Cooler, a bit rainy, and nice breezes at night. Beth gets cold, I think it's perfect. I think she's a lizard.
I have more pictures, but the batteries in my camera died (AGAIN), so it will take a while to upload and find new batteries that work (batteries here are "recyclable"...meaning, the put the old ones back in the package and sell them. Good for the environment I guess)
