Detgen and I went grocery shopping yesterday. She lives very close to Brigade and MG streets, where a lot of shops are. A smaller shop has some rare goodies: Dr. Pepper, Cocoa Pebbles, stuff like that. The other places had other, more common things: Ragu, tortillas, Fosters. It's weird how the shops are set up in the context of the neighborhood. Quite simply: if there's room, they'll put a shop there. I bought some BBQ Pringles.
Sidewalks are a mess with rubble, holes and some trash, but not much.
we then went to dinner to a little place just down the street. We had steak! Pretty good, too. Except she got sick later. It didn't agree with me too kindly either, but not bad. We came back and chilled watching "24" on DVD.
Today, we're hitting the brunch buffet ($50 all you can eat and drink for 5 hours!).
Weather is still gorgeous
